- When will the embargo on abstracts lift?
Abstract embargoes will lift at the end of each session where abstracts are presented. The embargo on all posters will lift at 7 p.m. CST Saturday, September 9.
- Do all of the embargoes lift at the same time, or is there any variation in that date if a session is on a different date?
Embargoes lift at the conclusion of the session in which the content is presented.
- Is there a separate embargo policy for posters?
The embargo on all posters will lift at 7 p.m. CST Saturday, September 9.
- How can journalists apply for press access to Psych Congress?
The press page on the Psych Congress website includes the press application form, as well as general information for media and HMP Global’s press policy.
- Are members of the media covering Psych Congress required to sign an embargo agreement?
Members of the media who apply for press access to Psych Congress agree to follow the HMP Global press policy, which states that they will not share or distribute embargoed materials prior to the end of the embargo.
- When will companies be notified that their research has been accepted for the meeting?
Acceptance notification emails are being sent on a rolling basis the month following poster abstract submission. All posters will be notified of acceptance status no later than August 10.
- Can companies publicly disclose that their research has been accepted for the meeting?
Yes, you can share that your research has been accepted, but you may not share any data, research, key take-aways or other details of your research prior to its embargo lifting.
- Are teasers/curtain-raisers allowed?
Curtain-raisers are permitted as long as they don’t share data or other content from your research.
- Does Psych Congress need to review third party press releases before they publish?
Yes. Please submit press releases to pr@hmpglobal.com for review at least a week prior to your intended publication date.
- Do you have a media room where we can leave releases?
Any materials you would like shared with the press may be submitted electronically to pr@hmpglobal.com at least a week prior to the meeting start date.
- My company is a sponsor/exhibitor. Can I get a list of media registered for Psych Congress?
HMP Global does not share, rent, or sell the current or past lists of registrants or media with attendees, exhibitors or their representative public relations or marketing agencies.
- Will the media have access to abstracts?
Any members of the media who are registered for Psych Congress can access abstracts through the HMP Conferences mobile app. If members of the media are unable to access abstracts through the mobile app, they may contact pr@hmpglobal.com to request abstracts after embargoes are lifted.
- When and how will the media have access to abstracts?
Presentation slides, abstracts, and other conference information will be available in the app after the event starts. Abstracts will become available after embargoes are lifted.
- Would it be possible for members of the media to receive PDFs of the abstracts, or will they only be available in the mobile app?
If members of the media are unable to access abstracts through the mobile app, they may contact pr@hmpglobal.com.
- Where and when does Psych Congress plan to publish abstracts and posters?
Abstracts and posters will be published on HMP Global’s Psychiatry & Behavioral Health Learning Network 30-60 days after the event ends.
- Will published abstracts be publicly available or will the media need login information to view them?
They will be publicly available for media and others to access without a login.
- Can members of the media access abstracts if they are not on-site?
